The Road Less Traveled.

Well i just got back from TVR, and must say it was amazing! Wow

I can’t blog about the entire 6 weeks, but summer 2010 was amazing, and indescribable. TVR has changed my life in so many ways. I never thought you could get so close to soo many people. From the first girls prayer meeting, to the day i left, the relationships continue to grow. But it wasn’t just about friendship, that was only a blessing, it was all for the Glory of God. And i can say we glorified God this summer. :) and it was amazing, from staff training, from creeking and water fall climbing, to kitchen staff, to 8 pioneers from Georgia, from a stomach virus, from jumping of rocks, to half week campers from spruce pine, to suicidal 8 year olds, to Joseph King of Dreams, to the Boone laundry matt, to Slop- A - Roo, from ABF, to the kmart parking lot’s craft fairs, to monkey island, and Lord of the Rings marathons, to secret sisters, and 1/2 price snack shack, from sleeping on the floor, to sleeping outside, from not showering or changing for 3 days, to getting stuck while tubing, from 6 salvations in my cabin of 10, to awesome co-workers, and bestfriends, from the deep late night conversations about God, to singing Reign In Us, to late night staff walmart runs, from crazy yellow visors on tuesday, to scrubbing the floors for hours with bleach, from answering amazing theological questions from 5th graders, to hearing the pioneers praise God, from hammocks, to laughing, from driving to random places just because we get the nights off, and to talent shows,  from sneaking out for pranks, to shaving cream, from staff training to work week, from UP, to friday night bon fires, from the red zippers, to amazing testimonies, and   God sized miracles. From the first day to the last i must say this is where i was supposed to be, and there was a reason for it all, and it was amazing. From not thinking anyone cared, to having best friends. I can say that this summer, You reigned in us!

here are some quotes/journal entries from this summer:

“If your serious about serving God, the Devil is serious about tearing you down”
“Ministry happens at times of inconvineance.”
*”God brings us thru desserts, so we can lead people out of the dessert.”

“Campers don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
“It’s gonna come down to monsters vs. alliens, and alliens will ALWAYS win.”
“God has revealed to me, that there’s a difference between a Christian and a man of God” -Alcia Action

fullfilling the calling of Christ.

I urge you to read these verses, my commentary, and the verses again. I urge you to live by these and the other words of God. (:

Colossians 3:1-17

-3:1: set your mind on things eternal.

-3:2: flee from worldly things.

-3:3: the old has gone, Christ has made a change!

-3:5: don’t participate in sin! God changed you for a reason! You were bought at a heavy price.

-3:6: without salvation, you, your family, and your friends will go to Hell. We ALL need Christ.

-3:7: Don’t act the same as you did, before salvation.

-3:8: Christians shouldn’t get angry, and especially not cuss!

-3:9: lying just hurts. don’t!

-3:10: You’re being renewed in knowledge, but you cannot receive knowledge if you’re not reading the Word of God.

-3:11: it doesn’t matter where you are, where you came from, or who you are. We are all equal in the Body of Christ.

-3:12: Be compassionate, did you show compassion to the homeless guy in the park today? Show kindness, were you kind to the teenager who cut you off on the highway today? Be Gentle, are you showing gentleness when your sibling gets on your nerves? Show Patience, are you patient while waiting in line somewhere?

-3:13: FORGIVE. Not trying to carry on the fight or the problem, just forgive and move on. “I can forgive, but I cannot forget. Is just another way of saying I cannot forgive.”

-3:14: Love forgives all offenses. So LOVE.

-3:15: One Body. Not multiple be in peace with your family of believers.

-3:16: Let the Word dwell. But the only way it can dwell is for you to read. You must read the word!

-3:17: Thanksgiving. Show Thanks.

i cannot wait. (:
